Norton Internet Security 2008.?

I was having problems with Live update on Norton Internet Security 2008. I was told to re install it but it goes to the end and stalls at Norton Anti Virus so therefore wont finish the install. Please help me

get McAfee or if you dont wanna pay get AVG or Avast
Yes, uninstall Norton and get free security programs.

Why would you want to slow your system down or even use a non antivirus programe. You will find that it never find any but lets loads in mate. Why not use the freebies Avg, Spybot, Adaware you will be protected then mate.

My sincere suggestion. If you want better security, please DO NOT use Norton. It's a system hog %26 the firewall just isn't good enough.

Download Avast Home Edition from Avast's website and I can assure you I haven't had a Trojan/malware/adware infection since 18 months !!!!

If you want a paid Solution, I suggest Kapersky or NOD32 .
I agree with most of the comments. Norton is an ok system when its running fine but as soon as you have a problem getting in touch with them is a pain in the ***. You either have to email (which takes days to get an answer) or phone which will cost an arm and a leg. I wont be renewing.

To help with your problem i would uninstall as advised then install another service. I would get your computer looked at first though as there may be a virus on it that is preventing the install process and would happen again possibly with any new soft ware. Try spybot,to check for viruses, its free and works on a donation basis if you want too.
